Poomsae is the art of taekwondo. Poomsae movements are practical self-defence and striking techniques that are performed in a series of movements with perfected technique. These movements are perfected in terms of timing, rhythm, coordination, balance, form, and flow. Our poomsae students have heightened mindfulness of their own bodies and great self discipline – They are always seeking to refine each and every movement. Unlike sparring, students who compete in poomsae compete only against themselves and their own minds to present their best performance.
